1/10 - L'Oreal True Match Foundation

At just £9.99, this foundation is top pick for me. It’s super light with incredible coverage, and with 28 shades, it covers 98% of British skin tones.

2/10 - Rimmel Wake Me Up

Another brilliant drugstore foundation at just £8.99 here, Wake me up is a dewy, lightweight foundation that should make skin look radiant. “Flawless coverage”.

3/10 - bareMinerals BarePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation

bareMinerals pride themselves on good quality products that are kind to skin, and this product is no different. At £29, it is one of our more expensive picks, but with such full coverage, it’s really an investment. The finish on this is naturally matte.

4/10 - YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation

bareMinerals pride themselves on good quality products that are kind to skin, and this product is no different. At £29, it is one of our more expensive picks, but with such full coverage, it’s really an investment. The finish on this is naturally matte.

5/10 - Maybelline Superstay

Designed as a long-lasting foundation, Superstay has a full coverage and so is great for nights out or performances. Just £9.99 from drugstores, it has a lightweight hi-pigment coverage and a very matte finish for a more wintery look.

6/10 - Nip and Fab Makeup Foundation

Typically £12.35, Nip and Fab are one of my favourite brands for skin care as they really pride themselves on extremely good quality produce. Packaging is always beautiful, and the likes of Kylie Jenner have used Nip and Fab products in the past. Medium coverage, and just 10 shades, so might not work for everyone.

7/10 -Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation

Laura Mercier is a classy, minimalistic makeup brand that is really on the rise. Their foundation is £35, but lasts for 15 hours, is oil-free with a matte coverage and full coverage. I can say first hand how beautiful it looks on, and can easily be made to look dewy.

8/10 - Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty range took the world by storm, with such emphasis on beauty for all. The range of shades is immense. At the fairly reasonable £26, this is all my friends talk about! Soft matte, buildable and long lasting. Perfect!

9/10 - Mac Studio Fix Fluid

This was one of my personal first ever high end foundations, and I really can’t fault it. If you’re after a lightweight, super matte foundation, it really is great. £26 again.

10/10 - Nyx Total

For high and full coverage, Nyx is really a great brand, and for experimenting with colour. The Control Drop, like most Nyx products is matte, and coverage is good. Be careful to get the right shade however, and don’t apply too much. Just £14 which is a brilliant price. We hope this helps with your foundation finding struggles. It really is about finding what fits you, and what is also good to your skin.
